Nutrition is #1 in our program!

Proper nutrition is one of the most important factors in any dog or puppies’ life. Everything starts from within, and nutrition is the foundation of a healthy thriving dog. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are a muscular breed that need proper nutrition to develop into their full potential. Here at VIP, we mostly feed our SBT’s a raw food diet known as the “Barf Model Raw”. With over 30 years of experience in animal husbandry, we have found the raw food model aligns with the goals we set for our dogs. We are happy to help anyone with questions about this and have helped many transition their dogs from commercial kibble to a raw diet.

The benefits of a raw diet are vast, but we understand raw feeding isn’t for everyone. It’s important to feed a quality diet appropriate for a growing puppy or mature adult dog. Here at VIP:

Start puppies off on Honest Kitchen, a human-grade dehydrated raw diet, adding raw goat’s milk.

Gradually introduce ground raw beef, chicken, duck, and rabbit with bone material as puppies grow.

Near 8 weeks, start adding whole raw bones and muscle (chicken wings, thighs, drumsticks, feet, necks, quail, etc.) suitable for 8–10-week-old Stafford puppies.
